BIOGRAPHY

Peter and Kristine Allan

Peter and Kristine Allan first met when Kristine responded to an advertisement looking for musicians to join a musical ensemble. Peter Allan and Louisa John-Krol where already working together,  Peter liked Kristine's voice and songs. They ended up forming Megwyn which morphed into a rock outfit Beltane.

Kristine then left to pursue solo work in Melbourne and London and Peter joined a band called Creature Seed. On Kristine's return from overseas Peter and Kristine formed a trio with Dallas Comos called "The Paranoid Club" who were regulars at cafes Brunswick st Fitzroy. Kristine also formed her own band called Essence a folk rock outfit.

Around this time Peter and Kristine became romantically involved and began to play both solo and as a duo called "Haze" which also morphed into a 4 piece outfit called "Lolitas Open Nightie" with Sam Price on drums. Peter and Kristine Allan married and  travelled to London and played in Cambden both as a band and as a duo.

On return to Australia Peter and Kristine began to play regularily as a duo locally as Peter and Kristine Allan. Kristine studied classical guitar. Peter and Kristine played as a duo in local bar "Babushka" for over 4 years While also welcoming their beloved child Kieran in 2012. During this time Peter and Kristine  played as a duo in Melbourne and organized a variety of very successful tribute nights to David Bowie and Kate Bush and performed alongside other bands and performers such as Sam Sejavka (The Ears), Dean Richards (Dogs in Space, Eurythmics), Brittle Sun, Winer Sun and Michael Plater.

While persistently writing and working at different approaches to their music which at this stage consisted of blues, soul, reggae, rock, pop, follk and jazz. Incorperating many different stlyes into their duo work Peter and Kristine play arranged songs with live vocals and guitars. 

​

Always changing and always inventive, ever so prolific. Catch this charming duo when you can.
